Electrolysis is used to remove hair on the face, hands, and arms. It is the only clinically proven treatment that removes unwanted hair quickly, safely, and with minimal discomfort. Using a tiny probe, doctors deliver radiofrequency energy to the hair matrix – the growth center of a follicle – to cause it to coagulate. Once this is achieved, they remove the hair with forceps. Permanent results can be achieved after a series of weekly treatments lasting between 15 minutes and one hour.
